  1. Transition planning - Jeff and Tina
  • Parents can email questions.  will likely be planning smaller focused groups for parents to learn more. Saganoska is a one year program.  If a student is invited back, this will be decided in June so all students are to proceed with the transition planning.  This can be carried into the second year if students returns next year.
  • Explored what makes transitions difficult, what a transition plan looks like including anticipated obstacles and identifying proactive supports, encourage the students voice, next year will have visits from staff particularly for children that are struggling, will need parents to sign a consent form.  Parents encouraged to contact Saganoska team anytime with any questions and issues.
  • Parents are encouraged to contact special education board resource. Best to start conversations now so that they can invited to the transition meeting.
  • Working with kids now to use tech in everyday situations to help ease the student’s anxieties.  “What are your goals? What are the potential barriers? What are the strategies?”
  • May 30th workshop tech support for parents. Check blog for updates
  • Some boards use Microsoft office vs google platforms.  Teaching students to be flexible ie what do they want to achieve vs specific programs. Working with students who will be using office platform set up with mock set up.
